This very distinctive handmade pen is made from Lacewood, native to South America.  It uses a ballpoint Pentel refill, which is easily replaced when needed, and easily obtained locally or in Amazon.  It's hand turned on a lathe, sanded, and give a protective varnish. One of my favorite woods!
