This handmade pen is made from Curley Koa wood, native to Hawaii, with screw-on cap.  It uses a Schmidt 888 fine rollerball refill in black, which is easy to replace when needed, and readily obtained on Amazon.  It's hand turned on a lathe, sanded, and given a protective varnish. This is highly figured in reddish-brown with contrasting darker rings.  The weight of the pen is a comfortable 44 grams, with 0.54" diameter lower barrel that fits a larger hand well.  Perfect for someone who likes a darker wood with very distinctive grain.
